David Castaneda Diaz earned his B.Sc. degree in International Commerce in 1998 and received his M.B.A. in Finance in 2002. He also received extensive specialized training in Sales, Marketing, Financial Management and Project Management, from major multinational corporations, and US Government agencies including the US Department of Justice, USAID, CDC, US Department of State among others. David Castañeda Díaz taught undergraduate and graduate level courses of Financial Management, Accounting, Strategic Planning and Budgeting at Trinity University in Washington, DC, Virginia International University (VIU) and Montgomery College in Germantown, Maryland.
Prior to becoming President and CEO of PARAGON Business Consultants, an international consulting firm headquartered in Monterrey (México), David Castaneda Diaz built a successful corporate career stretching more than 15 years in Washington, DC (USA) where he held leadership and executive roles as Corporate Global Controller for a real estate and Hotel management group; Deputy Director, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for the District of Columbia Cancer Consortium, Inc.; Interim Director of Finance & Accounting for the U.S. Youth Soccer Association, the world’s largest youth sport organization. Additionally, Mr. Castañeda developed a solid international career in sales and marketing working as National Sales Manager (México), Director of International Sales (USA) and Regional Director of Sales (Latin America).
